From September 18 to 21, the 2018 China Skills Competition - "Panda Cup" National Welding Robot Operating Competition was successfully held in the Panda Equipment Park. More than 70 robot operators from 8 universities and 32 enterprises gathered in Nanjing. This is the first time that Panda Equipment held such national and cross-industry welding robot operating competition.

At the opening ceremony on Spet.18th, the general manager of the CPC Panda Chen Kuanyi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Tsinghua University Pan Jilong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Yue Qingrui, deputy director of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province Zhu Congming, and the president of the China Engineering Construction Welding Association Wang Shilei, delivered speeches successively. The company leaders Xia Dechuan, Song Yunfeng, Liu Kun, Dong Zhiming, Shen Jianlong, Guo Qing, Hu Huichun, Shao Bo and Yi Guofu attended the opening ceremony.

Chen Kuanyi congratulated the hosting of the competition and expressed the confidence and determination of the Panda to run the competition well. The leaders and experts at the meeting thanked Panda for its efforts in hosting the competition. They pointed out that the welding robot operating contest was incorporated into the national skills competition system, which marks that the "national team" represented by "panda" is striding along the road of the development of autonomous robot industry. "Panda" entered the field of national skills competition for the first time, which highlights the superior performance of Panda industrial robots and a strong comprehensive strength.

At the opening ceremony, the general manager of CEC Panda Chen Kuanyi, general manager of Panda Electronics Xia Dechuan, deputy general manager of Panda Electronics and general manager of Panda Equipment Liu Kun, and other leaders and guests jointly opened the "National Welding Robot Operating Competition".

In order to host the national competition well, Panda has made full efforts to prepare and serve the competition. Panda actively participated in the formulation of the competition scoring standards, compiled the competition question bank, cooperated with the organizers to carry out the training work for the participants, and provided the independently developed industrial robots as the competition equipment. Panda took the most advanced technology in the practical operation of the competition. Panda aims to build a standardized industrial robot operation platform. In the process of the competition, Panda’s scientific organization and management, thoughtful service, has been well received by the contestants and the delegates.

After fierce competition, Wang Qiang of CRRC Datong Co., Ltd. and Ye Chenghao of Cixi Hangzhou Bay Middle Vocation School won the first prize in the staff group and student group, while four competitors and six enterprises and colleges won the first three in the individual and group.

Deputy Secretary of the CEC Panda Party Committee Zhong Youxiang, the Secretary of the Panda Electronics Party Committee Song Yunfeng, the deputy general manager of Panda Electronics and general manager of Panda Equipment and Deputy Secretary of the Panda Equipment Party Committee Liu Kun attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winners. Panda Equipment was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" by the Organizing Committee at the closing ceremony. The success of the event not only further enhance the reputation and brand awareness of Panda, but also highlight the comprehensive strength and intelligent manufacturing level of Panda.
